Royal Borough's small grants fund open for applications

The Royal Borough’s Corporate Services Small Grants Fund is now open for grant applications from voluntary and community organisations working in the borough which have charitable objectives.

Organisations that want to apply for funding must provide at least one of the following services:
 

  • information and advice
  • community engagement
  • infrastructure and capacity building

In the past the Council has awarded grants to: projects for youth peer-to-peer mentoring and training on employment issues; the provision of some costs for community events, including marketing materials; essential computer equipment/ technology, or for rental of such equipment for initiatives such as teaching children computer science, mathematics and English; training for volunteers and volunteer expenses and small scale improvements to facilities, refurbishment and repairs of buildings and spaces, for example installation of a stairlift.

In total, £15,000 is available in this round of funding, with a further £15,000 available later in the year. The closing date for applications is Saturday 22 April 2016.
