Come along and listen to talented young musicians from across Kensington and Chelsea perform at three free events next month organised by the Tri-borough Music Hub.
Details of the free events are as follows:
- Saturday 1 July at 2.15pm, the Tri-borough Folk Ensemble will perform in the Elgar Room at Royal Albert Hall. Led by Ruairi Glasheen, it will play folk music from many styles and cultures. Made up of students of all abilities and ages, and playing without notation, this talented group of instrumentalists is now in its second year, having formed in September 2015. - Wednesday 5 July at 7pm, the Music Hub’s Annual Gala Celebration at Kensington Town Hall. This annual event showcases the Hub’s flagship ensembles (choirs, orchestras, bands) and celebrates their musical achievements over the academic year. This year’s theme is ‘50 Years of BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2 1967-2017’. To book email email@example.com by Thursday 29 June.
- Wednesday 19 July at 7.30pm, the Tri-borough Youth Orchestra will perform their end of term concert at St Clement Dane’s Church. The programme will include Dvorak 9th Symphony, Rhapsody in Blue, Pirates of the Caribbean. To book email firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 17 July.
Established in August 2012, the Tri-borough Music Hub is the lead organisation which oversees the delivery of music education in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and the City of Westminster. The Hub aims to develop musical potential and foster a life-long love of music.
