A new community centre for North Kensington
The Wornington Green estate in Golborne Ward, owned by Catalyst Housing Ltd (CHL), is undergoing major redevelopment. This includes creation of new homes and improvements to the local park and play facilities. The plans include the demolition of the current community centre (The Venture Centre on Wornington Road) and building of a new community centre of the same size on Portobello Road, although the current centre will be in use until the new one is opened.
Catalyst Housing Ltd will build the centre, but the freehold will be retained by the Council. The new community centre will be at least as large as the current one. The detailed design, size and facilities to be provided in the new centre have not yet been decided, but will be subject to consultation and a detailed planning application. You can read more about the plans by visiting
www.rbkc.gov.uk/NKcommunitycentre
In order to inform the design of the new centre, and which services and activities should be on offer, we would be grateful if you could spare a few minutes to complete this short questionnaire. The closing date for returns is
26 November 2016.
