The Hitchcocks in their sitting room in Cromwell Road
The photograph above comes from The Life of Alfred Hitchcock: the Dark Side of Genius by Donald Spoto. It shows Alfred and Alma in their flat at 153 Cromwell Road with a production secretary taking notes. It was a very modest flat with threadbare furnishings and shabby furniture. Hitchcock liked to work from home, preferably wearing his favourite blue silk pyjamas and matching dressing gown.
