Old Swan and Royal barge by Walter Greaves
This oil of the Old Swan is one of Walter Greaves best-known paintings. It shows the second of the two pubs called the Swan on the riverside. The barge belonged to one of the City Livery companies. The Old Swan stood on the western side of the Physic Gardens. Today Garden House occupies the site.
