Swan Walk looking north towards Royal Hospital Road

Swan Walk as it looked in the 19th century. On the left is the entrance gate to the Physic Gardens. Philip Miller, Curator of the Garden for 50 years lived at number 1 Swan Walk shown on the right. At the top of the road is Paradise Row, today known as Royal Hospital Road. All the houses in Paradise Row were demolished in 1903.
