The RCM Museum of Instruments (formerly known as the Donaldson Museum) was started in 1894 with a donation from Sir George Donaldson.
Today it features over six hundred instruments, some of which date from 1480.
The collection includes a spinet used by Handel and a clavichord once owned by Haydn.
