Traffic Management Act (2004)

The Traffic Management Act (2004) replaces the Road Traffic Act 1991 (RTA) as the legal framework for parking in England and Wales from 31 March 2008. Read more about the Act.

Motorcycle parking review

Graduated parking permit

The introduction of graduated resident parking permits will now take place from 1 June 2008.
Key Decision Report 26 June 2007: This report recommends introducing a new graduate pricing structure for residents's parking permits based on vehicle emissions and introducing a supplementary charge for second and subsequent permits within a household. • Personal visits will continue to be processed at the Customer Service Centre at the Kensington Town Hall with no change to the opening hours or contact numbers.
