In-house training

The prices for are per person. We require between eight and 15 people to run an in-house course. However, if you want to run a course for fewer than eight people you will be charged the equivalent fee for the normal minimum. If you need to book a council training room to hold the course there will be a separate charge. To discuss your needs and to get a price, contact the Training Co-ordinator

If you want us to run a course for you in your premises you must be sure you can provide the following, and these must be set up before the training is due to start:

  • eight to 15 candidates for each course (please ask if there are less than eight)
  • laptop computer, digital projector, video, TV, overhead projector, a flip-chart, market pens
  • digital projector, laptop computer, DVD player
  • paper and pens for the candidates
  • tables and chairs in a boardroom or U shape. There must be at least 1.25m between examination candidates
  • tea and coffee at the start of the course and at break times
  • water during the course
  • lunch for the candidates and the trainer(s)
  • non-smoking training room
  • a visible clock

The candidates will be required to supply a photographic form of ID which is up to date and if necessary can be photocopied. Remember, no ID means no examination.

We also require for candidates and the trainer:

  • refreshments at the start of the course, 10.45 am and 2.45 pm (approximately)
  • lunch which you should arrange
  • subject to the terms of the training agreement signed by yourself if fewer than eight candidates attend on the day of training the trainer reserves the right to cancel the course. No refund will be given.

Courses may be run by officers of the Royal Borough, or the Council's appointed training contractor.

The trainer cannot reduce the length of the agreed course to suit our operational needs on the day of training.
