Out and About Scooter Loan Scheme

Do you find you have mobility problems?

Westway Community Transport, in partnership with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the Royal Parks, are now running a Mobile Scooter Loan Scheme. A fleet of ten Mobility Scooters are available and can be booked in advance by members of the scheme.

Who can use the Scheme and how does it work

If you’re over 14 years of age and find it difficult to get 'Out and About' they can help.

Anyone young or old, that has a problem walking or a mobility issue (temporary or permanent) that lives in the Royal Borough or visits the borough can become a member of the scheme. All new members will need to register and pay an annual registration fee, then will be given full training on how to operate the Scooters.

Where will the Scooters be located?

The scheme is mobile, operated from a truck that will be parked at various locations across the borough. Their prime location is at Queen's Gate, off Kensington Gore, near The Albert Memorial.

Arrangements can be made for you to collect a Scooter from Westway Community Transport, 240 Acklam Road, W10 5YG (near Portobello Rd). If this location is more convenient you must make prior arrangements, so that the Scooter is available.
