Enforcement Policy

The Council wants to carry out our legal powers in a fair and reasonable way, so we have prepared an "Enforcement Policy" to describe our approach.

In short, we will try to deal with minor breaches of the law by providing advice. However, we will enforce the law where health or the environment could be harmed, or where formal action is necessary to discourage others from offending.
