Where to find contracting opportunities
The Council must be satisfied that tender opportunities are
being exposed to competition through reasonable levels of publicity
(for example by advertising in local and trade/professional
journals). The Council’s contract regulations provide that all
contracts over £100,000 in value are publicly advertised unless
suppliers are invited to tender from an approved list. However, the
Buyer Profile has been set up to advertise both high and low value
contracts so contracts under £100,000 in value may also be
advertised.
In addition to the Buyer Profile, the Council may advertise in
the following publications:
- The official
journal of the European Union - this is required for any
contract covered by the regulations implementing EU legislation,
although the Borough may use this publication voluntarily if it
deems appropriate
- Procure4London
- provides details of contract opportunities of all values for
London local authorities. Suppliers can browse through
contract notices for free and express interest in the
opportunities. Procure4London also provides news and information to
help suppliers respond to and deliver services for the London
public sector.
- public notices in the Kensington and Chelsea Informer
- Contrax Weekly
- trade journals
