Becoming an electoral canvasser

Do you want to get involved in the democratic process and earn up to £500 in your spare time?

Every year the Council is required to update the electoral register in the annual canvass. A registration form is sent to each household in the borough and residents are asked to return a completed form to the Town Hall.

The Council employs canvassers to visit the households that have not returned a form to make sure that as many people as possible are on the electoral register. The work will take place between the middle of August and early November 2010 and you will earn around £500.

Previous experience of canvassing or working with the public is desirable but not essential. It would also be useful if you spoke one of the many languages used in the borough besides English.

For more information contact Electoral Services on 020 7361 3750 or 020 7361 2002 or elect@rbkc.gov.uk

Completed forms should be returned as soon as possible and no later than Friday 30 July 20XX.
