Consultation on admission arrangements for 2013-14
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is required to
consult every seven* years, or annually if there are proposed
changes to the admission criteria and/or published admissions
numbers for its community schools, and on its coordinated admission
arrangements. The consultation period opens from Thursday 22
December 2011 and closes on Friday 24 February 2012.
*Changes in legislation that will take effect from February
2012, state that admission authorities will only need to publicly
consult every seven years unless there are proposed changes
(previously every three years).
- There are no proposed changes to the admission criteria for
Holland Park School or the borough's twelve community primary
schools.
- The schemes for primary (reception) entry and secondary
transfer are subject to Pan London arrangements. There are no
proposed changes other than the dates and clarity in certain areas
on the process.
- A proposal that the LA scheme for coordinating applications for
in-year admissions be revised following a change to the statutory
requirement. The proposal seeks to continue coordinating
applications and outcomes but for Royal Borough schools only from
September 2013.
