Chartered Institute of Environmental Health's (CIEH) Trainers' Charter

The Charter sets minimum standards that the CIEH expects of its registered training centres. These are the minimum standards that centres should achieve and are regarded as basic good practice. The seven principles are:

  1. Pre-course information
  2. Training solutions
  3. Management and delivery of training programmes
  4. Level and method of training delivery
  5. Quality of training materials
  6. Knowledge of trainer
  7. Evaluation processes

In addition, conduct of examinations is audited.

In March 2000, the CIEH found the standard of training provision to be "very good, with quality training materials and course management".
