Having your say
If you have a problem, or if there’s something you’d like to change, there are lots of ways of ways of making yourself heard.
You can talk to Social Services about your problem by contacting the Social
Services Customer Care team (in our contacts menu) or by using the “Private
Conversations” leaflet - there will be copies of these in Social Services reception areas
or you can call the Customer Care team to have one sent to you.
If you need help talking about the problem, you can ask for an advocate, someone who can listen to you and speak up on your behalf. This could be someone who works in
the Kensington and Chelsea Social Services Listen service or you can have someone who has nothing to do with social services in Kensington & Chelsea and works for an independent organisation called Voice for the Child in Care – details are in the contacts menu.
If you do not understand English or you need help to tell us your views because you have a sight or hearing loss – let us know
and we will help you say what you want to say by providing an interpreter, information in Braille or large print or a signer.
If you want to look at the latest edition of the newsletter for looked after
young people you can download it here. If you would like to be sent a copy or you would like to contribute to the next edition, contact
the Listen service (details in the contacts menu).
