What is the KCcentral Forum?

A group of young people who, with the support of the KCcentral website manager, provide content and make decisions on a number of areas of the KCcentral website.

There are no more than 30 members at any one time.

What could I do in the Forum?

• Write for the e-magazine
• Create illustrations for the e-magazine
• Share your ideas about developing KCcentral
• Check contents to be published onto KCcentral
• Create competitions
• And other possible things in the future

How much of my time would I need to give to the Forum?

Not a great deal! for example during a six-month period we would expect you to:

• attend at least two meetings
• use an email account to receive forum updates (Don't worry if you don't have one. We can set up an account for you)
• contribute to the forum ( for example writing, promoting KCcentral)

What will I get out of it? 

• A chance to meet new friends
• Accreditation towards The Duke of Edinburgh Award
• The opportunity to find out what is happening in the borough and get involved in other activities and events
• The opportunity to see your contributions live on the website
• Free workshops on topics around website contents
• Free group activities chosen by the forum such as ice skating, theatre, canoeing or maybe a day trip out of London.
• Written acknowledgement of your participation in the Forum
• Prizes for committing 6, 12 and 18 months to the Forum
