The local police pride themselves on a policing model based on community partnership. Kensington and Chelsea Borough Police have forged strong working relationships with partners, particularly with the Council.
Kensington and Chelsea Borough Police set demanding targets for the reduction of crime, crime prevention and detection targets, whilst arresting offenders and supporting victims of crime.
The Safer Neighbourhoods concept is at the heart of local policing – the Borough has 18 Safer Neighbourhoods wards that are led by a sergeant whose teams of local police officers and Police Community Support Officers with local knowledge of local people aim to prevent and reduce crime to improve quality of life for the community.
