The Learning and Skills Council has the single goal to improve the skills of England’s young people and adults to ensure a workforce of world-class standards.
The Learning and Skills Council is responsible for planning and funding high quality education and training for everyone in England other than those in universities. The vision is that by 2010, young people and adults in England have knowledge and skills matching the best in the world and are part of a truly competitive workforce.
London as a region is divided in five Learning and Skills Council sub-regions, London North, London South, London West, London East and London Central. The partnership team working with the Kensington and Chelsea Partnership sits within the London Central Office.
