Arts Networking and Training Programme
The Council’s year-round programme of free arts networking and
training events are suitable for both artists and arts
organisations, as well as relevant community groups. We hope that
the programme provides something for all, and offers interesting
and informative professional development.
Creative and Cultural Sectors
Recent research commissioned by the Council’s Arts Service
revealed that the creative and cultural sector accounts for around
15 per cent of workplace employment and nearly 30 per cent of
business units in the Royal Borough of Kensington and
Chelsea.

Cultural Placemaking in the Royal Borough of Kensington and
Chelsea
Cultural Placemaking explores the relationship
between local ambitions for arts, culture and creativity and
economic development through planning in the Royal Borough of
Kensington and Chelsea.
The Council officially launched proposals for Cultural
Placemaking on Tuesday 22 May, which was attended by experts from
the worlds of property, development, the arts, culture and the
creative industries as well as Councillors and officers.
