Brompton Library temporary offer Refurbishment - Workmen

Brompton Library will be partially closed for refurbishment from

Monday 15 February 2010 for two months

We will be offering a restricted service from the first floor:

  • adult lending service
  • children’s lending service
  • access to PCs, study space and current newspapers

Please note: there is no lift available and no space for buggy parking

We plan to continue with Reading Groups, Book Breaks, Book Slams and children’s activities.   For further details please speak to a member of staff

Story time

We wil be holding a Story time session every Wednesday 10-10.30am. Tickets are not required, feel free to come along.

Baby rhyme Time

The Baby rhyme time session on Monday between 2pm and 2.30pm will now require a ticket - there are 20 tickets available.


Brompton Library meeting room

Looking for a venue to hire?

Brompton Library has a meeting room, with separate kitchen, available for hire by members of the public.

We are conveniently situated a few minutes walk from Earls Court underground station and the C1 bus stops almost outside the library.

The meeting room:

  • can seat up to 35 people
  • has tables and chairs available
  • has a small kitchen for preparing refreshments. Refreshments not supplied.
  • has toilet facilities next to meeting room

How much does it cost to hire?

The minimum booking time is two hours. Extra time is then charged per hour.

The room is available 9.30am-8pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and 9.30am-5pm Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

How do I hire the room?

To hire the room you must contact the meeting room co-ordinator at Brompton Library to check availability. You will need to supply the following information:

  • your name and contact details
  • your reason for hiring the room
  • when (dates and times) the room is required
