Notting Hill Carnival 2007 takes place on Sunday 26 August and Monday 27 August.

The Council does not organise Carnival we facilitate the event. We recognise that Carnival has a big impact on the lives of those who live and work in Notting Hill and surrounding areas.

We will work closely with Westminster City Council, the Carnival organisers LNHC Ltd and the Metropolitan Police to ensure that Carnival ss safe and that residents get a fair deal

Street trading reserve list

If you want to go on the street trading reserve list for Carnival 2007 you must complete the Notting Hill Carnival Street Trading Reserve List Form.

A seaside break from Carnival for older residents

Forty north Kensington older people will enjoy a break from Notting Hill Carnival this year, when a scheme run by Kensington and Chelsea Council heads to Folkestone.

We are encouraging encouraging older residents badly affected by the disruption of Carnival to apply for a place on the trip.

To get more details about the scheme phone 020 7598 4509. The closing date for contacting the Council is 1 June 2007.

Residents will be assessed for the weekend break by Adult Social Care Services. First-timers will be given priority over those who went on the previous breaks. See the press release A seaside break from Carnival

Environmental impacts of Carnival 2006

Taking part in CarnivalDuring the two days of Carnival 2006 more than 200 tonnes of rubbish was collected; this included 2.5 tonnes of recyclable material. For more information see the press release
