Notting Hill Carnival Artistic Arenas

What are the Artistic Arenas of Carnival?

There are five arenas in total that help to make Carnival the unique event that it is. These are:

• Calypso (ABC - Association of British Calypsonians)
• Soca (CMA - Caribbean Music Association)
• Static Sound Systems (BASS - British Association of Sound Systems)
• Masquerade (NHMBA - Notting Hill Mas Bands Association)
• Steelpan (BAS - British Association of Steelbands)

Each of these Arenas has a representative on the Board of London Notting Hill Carnival Ltd (LNHC Ltd) as follows:

• Ashton Moore, Association of British Calypsonians (ABC)
• Debi Gardner, British Association of Steelbands (BAS)
• Lewis Benn, British association of Sound Systems (BASS)
• Roddy Crozier Maharaj, Caribbean Music Association (CMA)
