Revisions to the Planning Application Validation Checklist

The proposed revisions to the Planning Application Validation Checlist are in relation to the intention that all planning applications determined on and from 4 July 2011 will be subject to the Planning Obligations SPD, not just major applications.

This requirement will be particularly relevant to planning applications which involve a net increase in residential units. Planning applications for development will be subject to planning obligations and, in order to comply with the SPD, will need to be accompanied with a Planning Obligations Statement.

The proposed revisions are shown in bold red in the documents under consultation which are available to download below.

The consultation on both validation documents runs from Friday 6 May to Friday 1 July 2011. Consultation will close at 5pm on Friday 1 July. Comments can be submitted via e-mail to planningpolicy@rbkc.gov.uk or send your comments in writing to:

Please note that all planning applications will be subject to the Planning Obligations SPD requirements from 4 July. Please visite the S106 webpage for further details including the need for a Planning Obligations Statement to be submitted with the relevant planning application.
