Strategic Housing Market Assessment
As recommended by Planning Policy Statement 3: Housing, the
Council has employed consultants to undertake a Strategic Housing
Market Assessment (SHMA).
The Strategic Housing Market Assessment informs preparation of
Local Development Frameworks (LDF). Guidance requires boroughs to
undertake a comprehensive analysis of the Kensington and Chelsea
Housing Market. The Strategic Housing Market Assessment includes a
review of the current local situation, a discussion of the housing
market dynamics and recommendations as to appropriate action in
Kensington and Chelsea. The report follows advice in the CLG
guidance 'Strategic Housing Market Assessment Practice Guidance
2007'.
