Joint planning framework

“West London’s New Urban Quarter”

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) and the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham (LBHF), in partnership with the Mayor of London (GLA), have produced a joint planning framework to guide future development in the Earl’s Court and West Kensington Opportunity Area.

This framework is called the Earl’s Court and West Kensington Opportunity Area Joint Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). It supplements planning policies in the boroughs’ Development Plans and the London Plan.  It will also be taken into account in deciding planning applications within the Opportunity Area.

The Royal Borough adopted the SPD on the 22 March 2012. Details of the adoption are set out in the Adoption Statement.
