Transport - Supplementary Planning Document
On 10 December 2008, the Royal Borough adopted the Transport
Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
The Transport SPD deals with the Council’s standards for
parking, servicing and highway improvements in new or converted
developments. The SPD complements the UDP policies and provides
detailed guidance on how to implement them. The SPD also addresses
those elements of development that require consideration under the
Highways Act 1980 and other legislation, in addition to planning
legislation.
The document replaces SPG 08: Technical Guidance on
Transportation Standards and SPG 10: Permit-free and Car-free plus
Permit-free Development.
The draft SPD was consulted upon during the six-week period from
3 June 2008 to 15 July 2008.
