Local studies holds a wealth of materials on Chelsea from earliest times to the present day. These include: books and serials, maps and illustrations, press cuttings, census returns, electoral registers, directories, manuscripts, ephemera and other archive material.
Many books on the history of Chelsea have been written, most of which are now out of print. A short selection of titles is listed below. For a more comprehensive list available from the Library please contact Kensington and Chelsea Libraries or search online at www.rbkc.gov.uk/librarycatalogue.
