The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s Corporate Services Business Group is currently seeking applications from voluntary organisations for grant funding from April 2011 until March 2013.

The Council is considering the possibility and desirability of awarding successful organisations a grant for two years rather than the usual one year (subject as usual to satisfactory performance).  The ability to do this depends to a degree on the outcome of the national Spending Review, to be announced by Government in autumn 2010, and the Local Government Settlement that will follow this later in the year.

For the present, organisations applying for grants should assume that awards will be made for two years, and apply accordingly.

Please note that if allocations are made for two years, then there will be no annual grants round for 2012 - 13.

Corporate Services has three priority areas for grant funding:

  • information and advice
  • community engagement
  • infrastructure and capacity building.

All voluntary and community organisations that provide relevant services for people who live, work or visit the Royal Borough are eligible to apply for a grant.

Adult Social Care and Family and Children’s Services are not included in this grant application process.

If downloading an application pack, in addition to the application forms, you should also make sure you access the guidance notes, which provide advice on completing the application form and the Grant Criteria, which details the criteria set for grant funding.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on 15 September 2010.

Late applications will not be considered.

If you require the application form and guidance notes in large print or translated then you should mention this when you give your details.

Grants Workshop

There will be a Grants Workshop on Wednesday, 2 September at 11:30 – 1pm in the Lower Foyer within the Great Hall at Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX.  You must book for this workshop by Thursday, 26 August 2010.  You can download the booking form from here.
