Grants for Carers’ Support Services in Kensington and Chelsea
2011-12
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is currently seeking
applications from voluntary and community organisations and health
providers to provide support services to unpaid carers of Royal
Borough residents. This year applications will be considered
against specific criteria in the priority areas listed below and
more detailed specifications. Providers can be located in
Kensington and Chelsea or elsewhere, however they
must be able to deliver services in the borough
from April 2011.
Funding is available from April 2011 until March 2012.
Objectives
- to support carers in their caring role - activities to promote
health and well-being
- to support carers to have a life outside of caring - activities
to promote social inclusion
- to identify hidden or hard-to-reach carers – carers who are
currently receiving no support in recognition of their caring role.
This includes working carers
- to offer opportunities for breaks to carers
Within these objectives, we will be funding the following
priority areas:
- emotional support and counselling
- support groups, general or specialist
- social activities and inclusion
The closing date to submit applications is 5pm on Monday
