Description

Study for the figure of the servant in the painting 'Michael Angelo Nursing his Dying Servant' (c.1862, private collection). The figure of Michael Angelo is also indicated. The figures are very roughly drawn. The gesture of the left hand of the servant is different to the same hand in the finished painting. Lower centre: study of the left hand of the servant. Again the gesture is different in the finished painting.
