Drapery study for the seated female figure sewing, to the far left of the fresco 'The Arts of Industry as Applied to War' (1878-80, Victoria and Albert Museum). Part of the head, neck and right hand are also indicated. Part of the drapery at the lower right is not indicated, although this is also unseen in the finished work.
