Left of sheet: full-length study of a standing female figure, turned to the left. The head is turned to face the viewer and she holds a pitcher against her legs at arms length. This may be a study for the figure immediately behind Andromache in the painting 'Captive Andromache' (c.1888, Manchester Art Gallery). Centre of sheet: full-length study for the same figure, facing the viewer with head turned to the right. Upper centre right of sheet: full-length study for the same figure, in profile, turned to the right. Upper right of sheet: full-length study for the standing female figure, holding a pitcher against her left shoulder, seen to the left of the painting 'Captive Andromache' at Leighton House Museum (reference number LHO/D/663). Lower right of sheet: full-length study of a nude, reclining female figure, lying on her right side.
