Full-length nude study of a female figure. She lies flat on the floor, with knees to one side and bent up towards the chest. The right leg rests on top of the left, the upper body faces upwards, and the right arm curls over the top of the head. The left hand rests at the left side of the head. The viewer looks down onto the model from above. In the final painting however, the female figure is seated on a platform, with the left leg raised higher and the right arm resting across the torso.
