Description

Upper left of sheet: study for the central section of the head and face of the cat seen to the lower right of the painting 'Summer Slumber' (c.1894, private collection). Upper half of sheet: full-length study for the cat in the painting 'Summer Slumber'. Lower half of sheet: head and shoulders view of a female figure, with back to viewer, facing to the right. The hair is tied up and the shoulders are bare.
