Villa Madame is a suburban palace situated outside Rome.

Description

Page from a sketchbook. View of the Villa Madama shown silhouetted against the sky. The vaulted and painted loggia, the subject of the drawing on page 11 of the sketchbook can be seen. To the right, a brick arcade leads to the Villa. In front of the arcade in the foreground is a rectangular pond surrounded by a low brick wall. The ground drops steeply away to the left.
