Inscriptions: Inscribed on the drawing "grun" in pencil, in the artist's hand, which is German for "green". There are also other illegible notes of colours.

Interpretation

Presumably this drawing was made on location and the watercolour was added later, using the few colour notes as a guide to which colours to use.
