Interpretation
The children are named "Bouncing Baby" "Peter Perky" they play "Spilikens", the title of the drawing. The same two children play "Cribbage" in the second illustration. These drawings were probably made to entertain the children of some friends of Leighton's, as he visited the family for Christmas.
