Notes including references to George Aitchison (architect of Leighton House, 1825-1910), Alphonse Legros, (French painter, etcher, sculptor and art teacher, 1837-1911), Rudolph Lehman, (painter, 1819-1905), Charles Halle (co-director of the Grosvenor Gallery, 1846-1919), and Thomas Armstrong (painter and designer, 1832-1911).
Purchased by the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University, from Geoffrey Steele (antiquarian bookseller, c.1907-2000) from his bookshop at RFD 1, Mahopac, New York, in 1946 for $6.00.
