Page from a sketchbook. Half-length study of a female figure. The pose is similar to that of the figure in blue, to the left of the painting 'Captive Andromache' (1888, Manchester Art Gallery). 

Provenance

Purchased by the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University, from Geoffrey Steele (antiquarian bookseller, c.1907-2000) from his bookshop at RFD 1, Mahopac, New York, in 1946 for $6.00.
