Description

Page from a sketchbook. Study for a composition showing a seated male figure, turned to the right. He is seated on the ground. The right leg of the male figure is extended forward. The left foot is tucked under the right leg. The right arm rests on a raised object and the left hand holds a scroll. The stump of a tree is seen behind the figure. A cherub stands at the left side of the male figure with right hand raised to shoulder height. To the right of the composition there is a ram and to the left of the foreground is a second ram or sheep.
