Description

Head and shoulders portrait of a young female turned to face the left. The figure's hair is pulled up on top of the head, away from the face. The mouth is closed and the eyes are focused. A few strands of hair rest on the back of the neck. The collar of a garment is visible around the neck. There is a study of the same model in the collection at Leighton House Museum (reference number LHO/D/0894).

Bequeathed to the Graves Gallery, Sheffield by Lady Osborn in March c.1955
