Description

Full-length drapery study for the female figure catching a ball to the left of the painting 'Greek Girls Playing at Ball' (c.1889, Dick Institute, Kilmarnock). The feet and lower arms are lightly indicated. The head is not indicated. 

Provenance

Collection of John Postle Heseltine (etcher of landscapes and collector, 1843-1929); bequeathed to the Victoria and Albert Museum by Henry Herbert Harold in 1948
