All organisations working with children and families are required to have a safeguarding children policy and procedures for their staff and volunteers to follow.

Keep this brief and ensure contact details for your organisation’s safeguarding lead are clear, as well as contact details for the local authority Front Door and LADO.

All safeguarding leads within local organisations should be familiar with the following at a minimum:

• The Local Safeguarding Children Partnership for Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster.
• London Child Protection Procedures
• Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018

Please keep in mind there may be other sector specific statutory guidance for your service to follow, such as Keeping Children Safe in Education if you are a school, the Early Years Foundation Stage if you are an early years provider.
