Online Safety

Young people have been born into the ‘digital age’, and use computers, mobile phones, and video games consoles as part of their everyday lives. They can often seem ‘expert’ on the technologies but do not have the life experience of adults and need your support. The most important thing you can do is to talk to your child about what they are doing.

The Local Safeguarding Children Partnership have put together a flyer with lots of useful links for you to explore. We hope these will help raise awareness about helping to keep children safer online.

A range of resources for parents and carers for Safer Internet Day 2021

Safer Internet Day 2021 will be celebrated globally on Tuesday 9th February 2021 with the slogan “Creating an internet we trust”, the day provides a fantastic opportunity to engage with children about their digital lives.

To help you talk to your children about having a positive and safe time online, we have created a pack for parents and carers, including conversation starters, an online safety planfamily activities and more!

Do you know what your children get up to online?
