With the City of London Sinfonia and the Opera Holland Park Chorus

In the OHP tradition of presenting unjustly forgotten operas from the Italian tradition of Puccini and his successors, we unveil our most ambitious work yet: Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari’s blood-and-thunder melodrama of 1911, a highly-spiced stew of sacrilege, jealousy and passion under the Neapolitan sun.

Martin Lloyd-Evans, OHP’s go-to director for post-verismo operas, joins forces with conductor Peter Robinson and stunning young soprano Natalya Romaniw for this great rarity, a definite highlight in the British summer opera calendar.
