- Every Wednesday 10.30 am to 11.30 am: Rhyme time for children under four years old
- Every Tuesday 2pm to 3pm: Free stories and crafts for all the family
- Tuesday 21 July: Fee Fi Fo Fum - all about giants
- Thursday 23rd July: Fee Fi Fo Fum - all about giants
- Tuesday 28 July: Buried treasure
- Tuesday 4 August: Dragon Quest
- Tuesday 11 August: Zoom Zoom Zoom - bring an empty water bottle to make a spaceship
- Tuesday 18 August: Firebirds

- The State of Africa Panel Discussion, 7 July 2009
Abstract: Alec Russell ,Stephen Robinson and Colin Freeman will be talking about Africa's past ,present and future.They will tackle the topics of aid,debt and poverty in what promises to be a fascinating debate.Come and have your say.
Colin Freeman,Chief Foreign Correspondent of the Sunday Telegraph who was kidnapped in Somalia last year will be replacing Dambisa Moyo who is unable to take part in this event.
