This cartoon is Leighton's design for a mosaic for the South Court of the South Kensington Museum, but the Museum (now the Victoria and Albert Museum). The completed glass mosaic was executed by Antonio Salviati (Italian mosaicist, 1816-1890), but was removed when the South Court was altered. The Museum also owns copies of Leighton's cartoon by T.
