Description | Princess Louise was the daughter of Queen Victoria and respected sculptor. It is more than likely that this letter was dictated. A transcript of the letter can be found below.
Doynden, Tunbridge Wells 23 Feb 1876 The Princess Louise thanks Mr Leighton very much for the trouble he is taking to get the photo done she wishes to have. The P[rince]ss w[oul]d be very glad if it were done, when the Pictures are being taken down, but she w[oul]d not like in any way to delay the time when the picture would be returned to Windsor. As to the correspondence between Sir Frances Grant and L[or]d Hertford the P[rince]ss has herself no wish to see it, and trusts that all matters about the sending of the Royal Pictures are now agreed.
