Dear Sir Frederick
The Princess is much pleased at your thought of her in asking how she is. The blow on the head was very severe and has caused much suffering but she is now able again to go about the house, and has during the last week been able to take short walks out of doors. Parties, receptions etc, she must keep clear of for some time, as fatigue brings a pain in the head.
She was able also two days ago to go for a short time to the Picture Exhibition got up under the auspices of the newly founded Academy. The laws of the present country's great Institutions were most useful. Here we have a very broad basis, admitting as many architects as painters, but providing that painters vote for painters, and architects for architects only.
Some of the work shown has really been very credible, and the thing will grow now that a start has been made.
Believe me, dear Sir Frederick with many thanks
Yours truly,
Louise
